Preparing to Pitch the TV Animation Industry
With my marketing side-job and assembling a host of animated TV series ideas for my agent. ("Host" in this case being 10.) After a few years on the shelf, I'll be reengaging with the animation industry in a more systematic way than resenting not having a job. Next week or the week after, the pitch meetings begin. Meanwhile, the marketing copy sings out its non-siren call, but a strong call nonetheless.

You should try comics as well. Strips or books, mainstream or independent, action or comedy, I think a lot of your stuff would translate wonderfully to that type of storytelling.

I may eventually visit that world.
I'll keep my fingers crossed. Comics really need more heroes like Freakazoid, Lord Bravery or the Huntsman. Or at least somewhere between that and serious characters. But that stuff requires comedic talent like yours, which is rare. Lately we've seen people crossing over from films and TV to comics (Paul Dini, Alan Burnett, Kevin Smith, Richard Donner, Joss Whedon and even Patton Oswalt).
The pay isn't much but you've got freedom to create.
Very similar to unemployment.
